The May long-weekend is the unofficial start of summer for many of us and how people enjoy it is as varied as the country they enjoy it in. For some of us, it’s opening up the cottage. For others, it’s braving it on the first camping trip of the season. For many of us, it’s relaxing on the water, a deck or at your local pub. No matter how you choose to celebrate your long weekend, we encourage you to make responsible choices and celebrate you for doing so.
May long weekend kicks off a summer full of activities for the Molson Coors Canada team. We’re gearing up and will be at countless summer celebrations as we spread the responsible choices message from coast-to-coast-to-coast at festivals and events across this great country.

A responsible choice video message for the holiday from Jennifer Botterill who received yesterday confirmation that she’d be on Canada’s National Women’s Team at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C.
For Jennifer it means she will compete in her fourth Olympic Winter Games where she along with Canada’s National Women’s Hockey Team will attempt to win her third-straight gold medal at the Winter Olympics, having done so in 2002 (Salt Lake City, Utah) and 2006 (Turin, Italy).

At this time of year there is raised awareness about the need for people to think about making responsible choices. Even Santa, who we’ve got to assume is much older than the required legal drinking age, can spread the good message about responsible choices. I think there is greater awareness given the amount of festive joy, hospitality, visiting and travel that takes place around the holiday season. People have a chance to reflect upon the year over a glass of beer with family, friends and neighbours. Although Molson Coors
tends to promote responsible choices throughout the year, we also focus on the holiday season as a time to raise further awareness for responsible choices. This holiday season we will encourage our employees to ensure that they are making responsible choices as well as spreading the word to customers and beer drinkers from coast to coast to coast. We also continue our partnership with Taxi Guy for a convenient way to ensure a safe ride home is at your finger tips.
