What a great – and brisk – night we had in Regina last Thursday as Saskatchewan’s sales staff, led by sales manager Devin Baxter, served up some fine Molson products, with all proceeds benefiting the Regina Transition House. In partnership with La Bodega Tapas Bar and Grill, Molson rep Craig Zimmer created an in-bar promotion with all proceeds from Molson sales at La Bodega’s outdoor Ice Bar, which Molson helped to build, going to the Regina Transition House. Sales from the evening raised almost $1000 and Molson donated an additional $2000, for a total of almost $3000 going to help Regina’s most vulnerable citizens. The Regina Transition House provides services and short term emergency housing to women and children fleeing violence. It has provided service to close to 12,000 women and children over the last 32 years, an average of approximately 400 people per year. Maria Hendrika, Executive Director of the Transition house, was in attendance and was overjoyed with Molson’s donation. This is yet another example of Molson employees proudly playing their part by getting out and helping the communities that they serve.
