As another long weekend approaches, say Yay to Sun and Nay to Rain! As you are out and about or just chillin’ while you’re grilling, remember to drink responsibly. At Molson we not only encourage responsible drinking, we celebrate it and recognize the good choices that take place every day. With the 2010 Olympic games around the corner we have partnered with Jennifer Botterill, member of Canada’s National Women’s Hockey Team.
Take a look at Jennifer’s video above to help us celebrate Responsible Choices … Thanks Jennifer. Cheers.
As the summer gets into full swing we want to pay tribute to those who make responsible choices. Let’s all encourage our family, friends, acquaintances and others to make responsible choices this summer. With summer comes a lot of new activities whether at the cottage, on vacation, travelling Canadian roads, venturing out on new discoveries or just enjoying your own back yard, town, city, farm or retreat. At Molson we say “Here’s To Responsible Choices” and are proud that Jennifer Botterill from the Women’s hockey team as joined with us to help spread the word. Enjoy this flip video clip from Jennifer wishing everyone a summer full of responsible choices. @MolsonFerg
Molson Hockey Cup players and CWHL players – Sami Jo Small and Sarah Love
Happy to report that in ongoing support of our commitment to athletes, teams and sports associations over the years, Molson’s Fund a Champion Campaign has also been extended to include the Canadian Women’s Hockey League! (CWHL) Molson is supporting the association with a $20,000 donation.
Earlier this year, Sami Jo and Sarah Love (Sami’s teammate from the Mississauga Chiefs) stopped by Molson’s Annual Hockey Cup to take some pics with the players and officially accept our donation.
L-R: Beata Tomczyk (Molson) Sami Jo Small, Tim Young (Molson), Sarah Love, Brent Walkter (Molson), and Me! (yes….I’m wearing flip flops on the rink….)
It was so great to meet the ladies in person, and we’re thrilled to support the league as Team Canada goes for the Gold in Vancouver! GO TEAM CANADA! Cheers, @MolsonTonia
Jennifer Botterill’s (Team Canada – Women’s Hockey) Olympic medals
Wooooow! Yesterday was awesome. In celebration of International Olympic Day, Molson held BBQ’s across the country and invited Olympic and Paralympic athletes from our Fund a Champion Program to join us.
In Toronto, Jeff Batchelor (Snowboard), Billy Bridges (Sledge Hockey) and Jennifer Botterill (Team Canada – Women’s Hockey) dropped in to chat, take photos, sign autographs and play some ‘Olympic’ games with our employees. We even had a road hockey tournament in our parking lot!
Molson is a proud supporter and the Official Beer Supplier of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, and, after getting to meet the athletes in person, chat with them, and even hold their GOLD medals, the feeling of pride is even greater. Thank you to ALL employees who joined in the games and donated to our athletes; to the organizers of the BBQs – your hard work was truly appreciated; and to our Fund a Champion Athletes across the country who took the time to visit our offices and breweries and hang out with the Molson crew – an unforgettable day.
I had the most amazing meeting with a true Canadian hockey star earlier this week - Jennifer Botterill.
With an impressive line of gold and silver medals from various competitions, this centre/wing from Canada’s Women’s Hockey team is a great ambassador for Molson in promoting responsible choices between now and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. From the first moment I greeted her at our Molson offices I knew that all the great tributes that I had heard from my colleagues were justly simply true, a first class individual and a role model for aspiring athletes.
From all of us at Molson Jennifer, we are delighted that you have chosen to lend a hand in spreading the message “Here’s To Responsible Choices”. Welcome to the Molson team, we look forward to following your continuing career pursuits and the pursuit of fellow Canadian to the podium in 2010. Best wishes to all for a wonderful safe and restful May Long weekend across Canada. @MolsonFerg
