What an honour it was to be a part of Western Canada’s volunteering initiative for Molson Coors’ April Month of Action. On April 30th, almost 75 Molson Coors employees in 7 different cities (Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria), across 4 different provinces, volunteered their time at local Food Banks helping those in need. As a result of the thousands of pounds of food sorted and packed by Molson Coors employees, literally thousands of people were and will be positively affected from Manitoba through to BC.

Lower Mainland Team volunteering at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank
14 members of the Lower Mainland sales team volunteered their time, helping to sort 10 pallets of food which will help over 1000 needy people.
Edmonton Team volunteering at the Edmonton Food Bank
12 employees from the Edmonton Sales Office donated 3 hours of their time to the Edmonton Food Bank, sorting 2700kgs of food, making approx 240 food hampers and cleaning the hamper line coolers.
Calgary Market Development Team volunteering at the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank
25 employees from the West Market Development office and the Calgary Sales office sorted an amazing 32,000 lbs of food over a 3 hour period.
Saskatoon team volunteering at the Saskatoon Food Bank
4 members of the Saskatoon Sales Team sorted an amazing 7 pallets of food in 3 hours.
Regina team volunteering at the Regina Food Bank
7 members of the Regina Sales Team put together 224 hampers in only 3 hours.
Manitoba team volunteering at the Winnipeg Harvest Food Bank
8 members of the Manitoba Sales Team sorted and boxed over 2700 pounds of potatoes, helping at least 270 needy families in the Winnipeg area
Victoria team volunteering at Our Place
4 members of the Vancouver Island Sales Team spent their day serving lunch to 350 needy people at the Our Place shelter in Victoria.
