Team Canadian Forces faced off with Team Molson for a ball hockey game to break in the new hockey surface located on base in Shearwater, Nova Scotia. The day was warm, maybe too warm for Team Molson as we lost 10 - 5. I think a re match is called for, what do you think?
WOW! I was super impressed with the enthusiasm from six Molson employees yesterday morning when I visited them at The Toronto Friendship Centre(Jarvis and Sherborne).
The boys, sales reps in Toronto, volunteered their mornings, serving hot meals to many patrons at the centre. District Sales Manager Shawn Kelly and his sales team, Adam Rand, Angelo Raso, Scott McCannell, Matt Vergeer and Iain Devine were quite the assembly line, making sure food was plated and served quickly.
Molson donated $5,000 to support the centre which provides a safe, warm and friendly place for people on the street. They can come to have something to eat, find community support and participate in programs (men’s club, mental health, educational youth, and more).

Huron University College held its 28th annual golf tournament at FireRock Golf Club in Komoka Ontario. The College raised a record breaking $50,000 for Huron students and programs. Molson’s donation went towards the College’s Community Based Learning Program, which helps create opportunities for Huron students to combine academic study with hands on volunteer experience.
What a great way to help raise dollars, $6000.00 dollars to be exact, towards this wonderful cause. This donation will help to build one of the first Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) designated recreation facilities in Ontario.

Last week, Molsondonated $100,000 to Fondation de l’Universite du Quebec en Outaouais (UQO) to be used for the development of a soccer and football playing field. This field will be available to not only the university students, but also to individuals and groups from across the region.
