Today we’re reported in the National Post as one of Canada’s Top Ten Cultures in the Central Canada region. Wohoo ! The Waterstone Human Capital recognition program is certainly something that each and every employee of Molson Coors in Canada can be proud of. Some may think that a beer company should naturally have a great culture…after all…it’s beer…and in Canada beer plays a big part in culture. However, great cultures are built by the people that live and work in the company and I can certainly say that we have very proud and engaged people working at Molson Coors Canada. After brewing for 224 years in Canada, we remain committed to the greater community. We have continued commitment to volunteerism and we match donations of our employees to charities and not for profit organizations.
We encourage people to speak their mind and tell us what they think and feel about our business and the place they work. We also have a great series of people development progams including a Molson Beer Academy (MBA) for new people joining our team.
We had a great year supporting the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games as an official supplier of beer where we had an opportunity to participate in the torch relay sponsored by RBC and Coke and a special Molson Canadian/Molson Export Fund a Champion program where employees and Molson Coors supported 10 Olympic/Paralympic athletes in their pursuit of the games.
These are just a few examples of what makes Molson Coors a great place to work. I hope you enjoy our story. We’d love to hear from you too. Cheers @MolsonFerg
