It’s that time of year and Molson Coors Canada officially launches the Ultimate Day 2 contest Wednesday September 7th, 2011.. The contest offers Canadian university and college students the chance to have one full day of adventure that takes them across Canada. It is part of Molson Coors Canada’s active lifestyle and responsible choices program .
The lucky winner and a friend will begin their ultimate day with breakfast in Halifax, then lunch and shopping with a pre-loaded $1,000 MasterCard in Toronto, and ending with dinner and a VIP hockey experience in Vancouver. The contest is just one part of Molson Coors’ campus responsible drinking program which carries the theme “Today is brought to you by last night’s choices”.
Other program elements include posters, TAXIGUY dollars and on-campus digital signage. Links I have found helpful - Molson Coors information to help parents address underage drinking; TAXIGUYDIALER – download the free APP today and call a cab at a touch of a button; TAXIGUY, purchase Taxi Dollars today; Arrive Alive; Drive Sober, a ton of info around responsible choices.

It’s that time of year again – students across the country are getting ready to head back to campuses. For many students, this will be their first time living away from home and that can bring with it a lot of responsibilities. Molson Coors Canada is doing our part to help ensure that students have the right information to make informed decisions around alcohol and other elements of a healthy lifestyle. We’ll also be celebrating those students that are making responsible choices. You’ll find our reps at select campuses across Canada distributing rewards like TAXIGUY dollars and gift certificates for gas and groceries. It’s our small way of saying “good job” to students that are making the responsible choice.
We’ve once again partnered with The Student Life Education Company to bring our message directly to students. This year’s program theme is “Today is brought to you by last night’s choices”. We’ve got catchy posters and a calendar that covers the school year and is perfect for students to decorate their dorms with and keep track of their busy schedules. It’s full of helpful hints and information on upcoming dates/holidays related to healthy messaging.
And, we’re launching The Ultimate Day Contest. This contest celebrates making the most of your day by making responsible decisions the night before. Two winners will be sent on the ultimate one-day coast-to-coast experience for two. The trip will start with breakfast in Halifax, a shopping spree in Toronto and a dinner and concert in Vancouver. Visit www.facebook.com/theultimateday for details and help us spread the word.
Here’s to a great academic year and here’s to responsible choices.

I cannot believe another September is here and gone….for parents, me included, who have waved a tearful good bye to their kids as they leave us in the dust to go forth and …. study? Hmmmm…In the photo above, Fran and I speak to Humber College first year students on what they do to “keep safe” on campus. The answers do not surprise me as they understand there are options; take a taxi, stay at friends or designate a driver. Molson Coors partner with Student Life Education Company who arms students with information to enable them to make responsible choices, not only with respect to alcohol, but friends, finances and grades. We celebrate this.
You have to check out our new website herestomychoice.com; here we have more info plus you can enter a contest to win a laptop, grocery and Future Shop gift cards. It doesn’t get too much better than that, electronics and food. See Rules and Regulations regarding contest details. Love to hear your feedback on the site.
