Variety Village Chair Lift…a necessity

Variety Chair Lift

When we heard about Variety Village  experiencing difficulties with its old chair lift at the pool, it seemed like an easy community effort to undertake to sponsor the purchase and installation of a new chair lift. The chair lift assists those who are attempting to remain active in their lifestyles, in spite of the challenges that they meet with their physical challenges. Cheers to active lifestyles for able and the disabled and for the work that Variety Village @VarietyVillage does in bringing the community together. @MolsonFerg

A real life story of ‘The Canadians’

As Canadians we always make the most of any situation, and usually like to mark the occasion by sharing a beer. This couldn’t be truer for one of our beer drinkers, Jacob Johnson. Here’s his story:
JacobJ
My name is Jacob Johnson, and this is my story of how me and 3 of my good friends took an adventure through the many different landscapes of Peru for 2 weeks only to finish at the top of Mountain Machu Picchu where we each enjoyed one of the most satisfying, thirst quenching and rewarding Molson Canadian beers we have, and may ever have in our lifetimes.

It all started in St. Catharines, Ontario where myself and …

Blog About What…Let us Know Your Interest

Greetings for 2013 from the Molson Coors Community Blog. @MolsonFerg here. based in Canada. I’ve been involved with this blog in one way shape or form from its start back in 2007. We tended to speak all things community in Canada and have enjoyed being engaged and involved with so many of our community partners and projects through the blog. It has also been a great platform for our employees to shout out or for us to shout out about the great work that our employees do in their communities. We migrated “location” of the blog to the Molson Coors central web site a year ago. Since then I must admit that the Canadian team has held back …

Blast from the past

GordonS-vintageMolsonEx

Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here and I thought I’d share this awesome photo we received in an email from a long-time fan of Molson Export.

Gordon S. scanned an old photo dating back to the late-30s or early-40s of his late father-in-law, Ed Blair (pictured above on the right) and a friend enjoying one of our tasty brews.

“In all of the years that I knew him, he always drank Molson Ex,” said Gordon. “He would stray from time to time, testing his taste buds on other beers, but would come back to Ex.”

Thanks for sharing this gem, Gord!

To the Season

…for many years along the path where we walk our dog behind Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, a small tree was decorated with festive bobbles and ornaments. Then suddenly one year there was a note near the tree advising that it would be the final year that the tree would be decorated. We could only imagine that the folks were moving on, or that a kindred senior soul was just finding it too difficult to navigate the woods and present this annual wonder to the community. A year passed and then my wife decided that we had to continue on this local tradition. So…our neighbours with us at dusk a …
