It is hard to believe July 1st is here! The summer is really just beginning and the celebrations that we all enjoy so much are more prevalent in these next couple of summer months. Be prepared, have some Taxi Vouchers on hand; download the free TAXIGUY APP and at a quick tap locate the closest taxi company in your area. For more info check out TAXIGUY.
Some other tips may include having a sleepover, a designated driver arranged or a shuttle bus! See more tips at Arrive Alive;Drive Sober.
Cheers to safe and fun celebrations!

What’s in a brewery ? Well, the situation today is that there will be employees, family and retirees of Molson Coors (Molson and Carling O’Keefe as well) that will return to the Toronto site of the Molson Coors brewery to celebrate 50 years of brewing in Toronto and 225 years of brewing in Canada. Approximately 1000 people will celebrate at a bbq on site. Joining employees and retirees will be Andrew Molson, Chairman of the Board of Molson Coors Brewing Company and Geoff Molson, a member of the board of Molson Coors Brewing Company – both who are the 7th generation of the Molson Family that has been brewing in Canada since 1786. No doubt @MolsonHammer and @MolsonSeb will have more to report on throughout the day. Cheers to the people that have worked in this brewery and helped make Molson Coors what it is today. Our people truly make the difference…we can celebrate the brewery but the people have made it what it is today. Let’s celebrate ! @MolsonFerg

…I arrived at the office to assume a different chair for the day…a wheelchair ! Molson Coors Canada is supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Wheelchair Dare to raise awareness for MD and raise money to help battle this debilitating disease. It also points to the challenges that those faced with mobility challenges have in carrying out active lifestyles in spite of those challenges. If you’d like to lend your support you can find out more on our community blog at http://blog.molson.com/community/tag/molson-coors-wheelchair-dare/. Thanks for helping us make a difference…proud to play our part along with the good folks at CFRB and GLOBAL TV Toronto…cheers… @MolsonFerg http://amplify.com/u/a132hm

When Kevin Harrison and Sylvie Lapointe approached us two years ago to consider partnering on the Wheelchair Dare, it raised to my attention, the critical need for greater awareness about the battle that physically challenged persons meet, day in day out. As Molson Coors Canada focuses on charitable giving in support of “active lifestyles”, it was apparent to our team that the Wheelchair Dare for Muscular Dystrophy could raise awarness about this debilitating disease as well as how we can help those physically challenged to have greater access and ease in their day to day lives.
Our Molson Coors Wheelchair Dare team this year will take to the chairs on Monday May 16th. Our President and CEO Dave Perkins will lead the way, along with Chief Legal Officer Kelly Brown, VP of Marketing Assets Judy Davey, Chief Sales Officer Nigel Tordoff…and me to bring up the rear!
Thanks to the terrific support from my co-chair (pardon the pun) John Tory and Newstalk 1010 along with Anthony Farnell and the terrific team at Global Television we will kick off the campaign on May 16th at South of Temperance in downtown Toronto. Be sure to take in the “live remote” action of our newsmaking partners and drop by to experience some of our new innovations …Molson M and Molson Canadian 67 Sublime. We’ll make this a fun filled afternoon and a great start to the campaign to raise funds and awareness for MD Canada.
You can support the Molson Coors Wheelchair Dare team in a couple of ways. You can create your own team at your place of work. If you’d like to make a donation you can do so on the Molson Coors Canada team site. Or, if you are wondering what to do with those digital photos just sitting on that chip that never gets looked at, you might wish to create your own photobook and use the special promo code, Rich Bassett and the kind folks at Photobooks will donate proceeds to MD Canada.
Thanks to all for your support of this effort and all those things that you do in the greater community.
Cheers @MolsonFerg

So yesterday was Earth Day. Given that it was also Good Friday, it may have got some folks caught in the throws of people traveling or pre-occupied with errands on a day off from work. But it was Earth Day.
It begs a question in me to wonder how we might make every day earth day. Each of us can be more present to our surroundings, our actions, our use of water, use of energy, management of recycling and waste. We can support our community.
Or perhaps it is an opportunity to start or join a conversation about how we take better care of our Earth and know what impact we can have as individuals, or companies.
Hats off to the organizers of Earth Day April 22…let’s make every day a day to make a difference for our Earth. Cheers @MolsonFerg http://amplify.com/u/b101q7

Waking up this morning I was overjoyed to hear the sound of water running in the streets. I guess I was still in a dream state of my youth in Kenora Ontario where water would actually be running in the streets at the end of March. Alas, looking out the window there were actually flurries in Toronto and the water sound was traffic plying through the slushy environs. I know I know, March in like a lamb and out like a lion (and I’m not suggesting a few flakes are lion…friends from outside Toronto will pounce on that !) Spring in the beer biz is a special time of year. Throughout communities it is a time of renewal…a time to prepare for all the natural ramp up to festivals, events, hockey playoffs, spring breaks, family reunions, awards shows and the gradual opening of patios speckled across this great land. It’s also a time to keep responsible choices in mind. So, a toast to communities coast to coast to coast…spring, we’re ready whenever you are. Cheers. @MolsonFerg http://amplify.com/u/bxbs1
