CANNON BALLLLL! Community Cheer helps fund construction of Radville Swimming PoolShare Tweet
Get your goggles ready because Radville will soon have a new community swimming pool to make a splash in! Built in 1967 as a Centennial Project, the old Radville Swimming Pool was past its prime. Members of the surrounding communities longed for a new facility they could use to help beat the summer heat, and with the boost of $75,000 from Community Cheer, this project is on track to be completed next month.
In a town with population of approximately 1,000 people, almost 400 people attended the cheque presentation that took place during ‘Steak Night’ of the Radville Rodeo! “It was a great job done by everyone and we had a lot of fun. I think half the town offered us a couch or bed to stay for the weekend rodeo as well!” said Mike Tate, Regional Sales Manager for Molson Coors Canada.
Recreation Director for Radville-Laurier Regional Park, Brenna Bourassa, thanked everyone for their hard work and dedication, including the community who took the time to cheer for the project online. “Let’s continue to bring our entire community closer together and work towards a common goal; building a new swimming facility,” said Bourassa.
Cheers to that!
