A River Runs Through Us, started by the Valleys 2000 committee, is a project with a goal to further develop the outdoor living activity area and hiking trails in Bowmanville Creek Valley of Southern Ontario to allow for fishing, hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. They were recently presented with $25,000 from Molson Coors Community Cheer at the Volunteer Appreciation Reception!

Their plans for expansion also include the construction of a bridge to connect trail systems along with development of a fish passage. It’s a project that benefits the well-being of both the community and its natural environment, and it’s one that we’re glad to support through Community Cheer.

“The ‘River Runs Through Us Project’ delivers on providing an outdoor experience that supports active lifestyles in the Clarington Community. It’s a wonderful project that will bring years of enjoyment to residents and visitors alike. Cheers to a great community project.” – Ferg Devins, Chief Public Affairs Officer
