Molson Coors, Firkin Pubs and Meal Exchange Are Raising a Pint to Raise Awareness of Food SecurityShare Tweet
Food security suddenly got a lot more exciting….today, in the spirit of the holidays, Molson Coors Canada in partnership with Firkin Pubs and Meal Exchange will be raising a pint in an effort to raise food security awareness across Ontario. The best part? Each time you purchase a pint of Molson Canadian or those of you with a palate for lighter beers, Molson Canadian 67, $0.25 will be donated to student-led Meal Exchange by both Molson Coors Canada and the Firkin. Pretty good additive to happy hour at your local Firkin Pub if I do say so myself!
This program isn’t new to us here at Molson Coors Canada, actually…this will be the 6th year we have partnered with Firkin Pubs to raise awareness for important causes. We have an audacious goal of $15,000 which will be donated to Meal Exchange, and thanks to our fans out there, this shouldn’t be a problem.
If you’re wondering how we plan to raise food security awareness, student volunteers from Meal Exchange will be visiting the participating Firkin pubs throughout the campaign, running food security education sessions for the Firkin staff.
This is a call to Ontarians, to show your support by visiting one of the 29 Firkin Pub locations November 29th through December 31st, 2010. During the campaign period, Ontarians can also participate in an online food security quiz for a chance to win a Molson Canadian beer fridge, care of Molson Coors Canada and Meal Exchange (www.mealexchange.com/molsoncanadian)
Now that you know about this awesome campaign, make sure to check out any participating Firkin Pub and spread the love around food security. Cheers everyone!
