Team Molson Coors takes on Football Frenzy

Football Frenzy - Toronto 2010

Dream Team…Molson Coors Canada

Last weekend a team of Molson Coors Canada employees demonstrated their football skills (whether good or bad) at Motionball’s Football Frenzy in support of the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. Football Frenzy is one of Motionball’s many events that happens yearly.  It sees teams of supporters and Special Olympic athletes take the field together for a day of football.

Dream Team Molson Coors Canada was lucky to have two Special Olympic athletes on our team – and let me just say – they were the all stars….us beers folks could barely keep up! :)

Matte Babel from CP24 News (strong motionball supporter) was on site for the day, participating in the frenzy and also acting as MC.  Matte helped us run the Molson Coors Sports Challenge mid-way through the day – we had a soccer shootout and football touchdown competition with 18 Special Olympic athletes.  How it worked -

  • 3 minutes of play
  • Athletes took turns shooting goals at our very brave sales rep Kathleen (thank you KK)
  • For every goal/touchdown scored, we donated $100 to motionball

These athletes scored enough points to equal $4,000!!!! AMAZING

Big thanks to the Molson Coors team who volunteered for the day – we didn’t win the coveted trophy, but I think we could have gotten first place for our dance moves on the field…
