Team NB/PEI made their way out into the community yesterday for our Molson Coors Month of Action, volunteering at the Moncton Food Depot. The afternoon was spent in support of Food DEPOT Alimentaire, a non-profit charity that services more than 20 food banks, community kitchens and agencies in southeastern New Brunswick.
In Moncton alone, the three area community kitchens serve an average of 740 meals per day to men, women and children in need, showcasing a real need for food-related charities in the area.
Food DEPOT Alimentaire’s distribution centre moves almost 2.5 million pounds (1.134 million kilos) of food per year – enough to fill 85 tractor trailers! Below are some pictures of the team in action, helping sort and package food on its way to folks in need.
The team in action, and having some fun.
Cheers to a great afternoon out making a difference in the community
