Variety Village “Walk N Roll” 2009 SuccessShare Tweet
The third Annual “Walk n Roll” for Variety is now a part of history. Our family had the pleasure of participating in the event this morning and thanks to friends, family and business associates our team was able to raise over $8000.00 for Variety Village.
I’m also thankful to Molson Coors Canada for their matching contribution towards my personal donation to the Village, and the fact that they double match, given my position on the board. Molson Coors continues to truly support the volunteer and community efforts of our employees – “proud to play our part”. The event was led off by CTV weather man Tom Brown
and was supported by the Toronto and area police band “The Coppertones”.
The Toronto Police were wonderful in helping to guide the parade of a thousand people around the streets of the neighbourhood surrounding Variety Village.
Golden Griddle put on a wonderful breakfast for all participants. Variety Village continues to provide a unique service to the community where able bodied and those with physical and mental challenges can integrate together in skills development, fitness and community activity. Cheers to all of the volunteers and staff that created yet another successful Variety Walk N Roll. Thanks to all of those that supported our family and to those who supported all of the other walkers and rollers that joined us today.
Proud to Play Our Part. @MolsonFerg
