The Beer Store Ontario Leukemia Bottle Drive
TBS leukemia drive 09, originally uploaded by Molson Blog.
On Saturday and Sunday May 23 and 24,”The Beer Store” in your local communities across Ontario, will be accepting donations from your empties in the second annual Beer Store drive for Leukemia and Lymphoma.
The Beer Store and its employee union, UFCW Local 12R24 are joining together the second annaul province wide initiative to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
In the first year of this special weekend initiative the weekend bottle drive resulted in a total of $650,000 in support of this important cause.
So Ontarians…it will be up to you to surpass the base from last year and help make a difference in your community. A reminder that all beverage alcohol containers are accepted and that includes all containers from products that you purchase at the LCBO and The Beer Store and yes that does include tetra pack, plastic and other small containers that you might have put in your blue box in the past. All beverage alcohol containers in Ontario have a deposit applied and you can get that deposit back at The Beer Store.
More details at this site.
Cheers to a great weekend in support of Leukemia and Lymphoma May 23 and 24. @MolsonFerg
