Molson Canadian and the Jeff Burrows 24 Hour Drum-a-Thon
Share TweetWhat a GREAT event….that I missed! Can’t believe I wasn’t able to make it to Windsor last weekend to see Jeff Burrows (formally of the Tea Party and the drummer with the new Canadian group Crash Karma) drum for 24 hours straight to raise funds for Transition to Betterness (T2B) - a grassroots organization that creates a homelike atmosphere within hospital settings for those affected by cancer in the community.
The event was held at The Blind Dog in Windsor where Jeff and Crash Karma band members Mike Turner from Our Lady Peace and Edwin from I Mother Earth (debut albulm to be released late 09) jammed with local and Toronto bands. Between 200-300 people joined Jeff, Crash Karma and T2B on the Saturday night for some great music
Molson supported the great cause and event with a donation of $5,000 to T2B, bringing the fundraising total to $15,318 in ONE night.
Thanks to Molson’er Barbara McDonald and Kelly Bryan from T2B for helping us arrange the donation, sponsorship and getting the GIANT Molson Drum on stage
Definitely going to make next year’s event….
Cheers, @toniahammer

Great effort all around for the Windsor area and would not have happened without the combined efforts of Barb,Tonia and the crew at T2B! Nice to see the community efforts pay off for such a worthy cause. Thanks to all involved.
