What’s your Skinny on Shinny?
We think hockey is a great Canadian community builder. And while we’ve got tons of great partnerships within professional hockey, for us, shinny is what gets us closest to the core of Canada’s game.
Considering Molson’s long history of supporting hockey, we wanted to explore the history, rules and rituals around the grassroots game. So we’ve made three videos – one for each topic. We will be posting them each week and having some conversation around each subject.
Now that we’ve talked to shinny players, what about all of you?
- What do you know about the history of the game and what’s your history with shinny?
- Everybody has their own rules it seems – what are yours? Which do you like/hate?
- What rituals do you have before, during and after a shinny game? (Personally I like to rip a slapper top shelf – or mid shelf in my case – before the game starts to get me into it).
Share your stories, pics and vids back here and tag it #shinny so we can find it!
