Brew 2.0 Visits Vancouver
On Tuesday evening, Molson invited some of Vancouver’s finest social media folks to an evening at our house — the Molson Brewery on Burrard St. in Vancouver. The event, Brew 2.0 Vancouver-style, was a smashing success (in my opinion), as the 35 or so guests joined our Molson crew in the pub for some bevies, chats, AMAZING food and a little info session about Molson and our beer.
The guests arrived around 6:00 p.m. and we started the night with a quick intro from one of the event organizers and Molson’s PR manager, Adam Moffat (@moffat). Adam welcomed everyone and went through the agenda for the night which included a beer and food pairing session with Molson Brewmaster Kerry Scarsbrook and Executive Chef at the Pan Pacific, Blair Rasmussen, a brewery tour and a meeting with our special guests of honour — Geoff Molson (7th generation Molson) and Gord Rickards (creator of Rickard’s beer).

If beer and food wasn’t enough entertainment, Mr. Neil Harnett serenaded us for the whole evening with some tunes. Thanks Neil — you were fantastic, and I caught you on video!
At the end of the evening, after the eats and tours, we had a surprise treat for everyone — tasting a new beer crafted by Kerry for the Vancouver Brewery’s 50th Anniversary (which was also this week…blog post to come soon!) — Rickard’s Gold Standard. Mmmm…. tasty.

This was the second Brew 2.0 event that we have held, the first one was in Toronto in June. It was so nice to meet everyone offline, have a pint together and just have a great time.
Thanks to everyone who helped make Brew 2.0 an incredible evening and to our gusts who added their thoughts: Raul, Danny, Tris, Tanya, Rebecca, Ryan, Corey, Arieanna
Special thanks to Geoff, Kerry and Gord for hanging out with us bloggers all night!
Here are some of my photos…more to come still.

Thanks for the invite — great times. I’ve been holding off my write-up about it because I want to add the shot of the beer arriving at my door! But it’ll be up soon! Thanks again.
