Yesterday was the Mono Hills Headwaters Golf Classic (near Orangeville, ON), an annual charity golf tournament that sponsors the Headwaters Hospital Foundation.

The tournament got off to a great start at 8:30 a.m., with sunny and warm weather.  The golfers played 18 holes and were able to avoid any rain…..a great morning of golf for a good cause.  I didn’t golf (I’m a mini-putt kinda girl!), but I did drive a golf cart around the course providing the golfers with some ice cold refreshments :)

This is the sixth year for the event, and Molson has been a proud sponsor every year. The golfers enjoyed ice cold beers after playing and the top three teams received prizes from Molson — golf bags, coolers, and patio umbrellas.

The tournament raised a total of $13,200 for the hospital foundation. Bob Baynham, CEO of Headwaters Hospital and Linda Grey, CEO of Headwaters Health Care Foundation joined the golfers at the course to accept the donation.

It was a great day!  Thanks to Ken Copland, organizer of the event and Jim Torrance, founder of Mono Hills.

Molson employees Scott Ewart, Chief Legal and Public Affairs Officer, and Ferg Devins, VP of Government and Public Affairs joined in the fun too — way to go guys!
