North Frontenac Community Arena “Project End Zone Campaign”
Project End Zone, originally uploaded by Molson Blog.
Never to late to speak about good news in the community. Molson representative Andrew Colborne in Eastern Ontario had a great idea that resulted in $10,000 in support for the North Frontenac Community Arena. Andrew was involved with a promotion that saw involved participants taking a chance to score on a penalty shot. Molson committed to donating up to $10,000 towards project End Zone. Obviously there were some pretty good shots taken, Molson followed through with the $10,000 monetary donation to the arena. Way to go Andrew ! Thanks for the picture.

Special thanks and congratulations to Molson Canada for their continued support of sober driving … over the holidays, we enjoyed their support by way of taxiguy chits for our home hosting kits and taxiguy glo-sticks for giveaways at events. As part of our winter arrive alive DRIVE SOBER efforts - OCCID hosted Shut Out Impaired Driving; we had displays at four professional/semi-professional hockey games (two x Leafs, one x Marlies, one x ’67s). We also attended a RIDE spot-check with Toronto Police and shared more materials in general with 60 community groups across Ontario … most of this was sponsored in a BIG way by the Ministry of Transportation and The Beer Store (official partners on arrive alive DRIVE SOBER) - 20,000 home hosting kits were shared in all… Still we are grateful for all the support that made our Shut Out campaign possible including Molson Canada. True to their claim “proud to play our part” they also presented the Molson Cup to OCCID in December and also share the aforementioned, much appreciated, bits of support for Shut Out …lanyards, glo-sticks and taxichits … Thanks very much!

It’s great to see Molson’s support of hockey (a key national strategic pillar) extend into the community rinks where the love the game is born and the grassroot consumer lives. One by One.
