Pay to Play at 102 FM the Fox: (from left) Patrick Geary, North Bay Molson Sales Rep, and Mitch Belanger, Program Director 102 FM The Fox.
Just a couple weeks ago, the wonderful people at 102 FM The Fox and The Kinsmen Club of North Bay teamed up (for a third year) to raise money for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and children in North Bay and surrounding area living with CF.
The event is called Pay to Play, and it took place this year from February 13-15. With a minimum donation of $20.00, Pay to Play attempted to get all song requests aired on 102 FM The Fox.
Patrick Geary, Molson Sales Rep for North Bay, joined in the event, donating a pair of Ottawa hockey tickets. The tickets were auctioned off for $500, and when added to the grand total, Pay to Play raised over $17,000! Congratulations to everyone involved for another successful event.

What a great – and brisk – night we had in Regina last Thursday as Saskatchewan’s sales staff, led by sales manager Devin Baxter, served up some fine Molson products, with all proceeds benefiting the Regina Transition House. In partnership with La Bodega Tapas Bar and Grill, Molson rep Craig Zimmer created an in-bar promotion with all proceeds from Molson sales at La Bodega’s outdoor Ice Bar, which Molson helped to build, going to the Regina Transition House. Sales from the evening raised almost $1000 and Molson donated an additional $2000, for a total of almost $3000 going to help Regina’s most vulnerable citizens. The Regina Transition House provides services and short term emergency housing to women and children fleeing violence. It has provided service to close to 12,000 women and children over the last 32 years, an average of approximately 400 people per year. Maria Hendrika, Executive Director of the Transition house, was in attendance and was overjoyed with Molson’s donation. This is yet another example of Molson employees proudly playing their part by getting out and helping the communities that they serve.

New Brunswick’s government led by Premier Shawn Graham is on a course to self-sufficiency and Premier Graham was in Toronto today speaking to a crowd of 300 business leaders at the Toronto Economic Club to explain to them his plans on how he intends to achieve this goal. Molson representatives were in attendance to listen and show their support to New Brunswick and its business community. New Brunswick’s vision towards self-sufficiency is rooted in the values of its people who are valuing; diversity, families, the environment and innovation. Molson is like-minded and is proud of doing business in New Brunswick. Last fall, Molson opened a new state-of-the art brewery in Moncton, the first new brewery built and opened by Molson in 52 years. There’s no better way to get closer to your customers than to move into the neighbourhood! We are proud to be part of the community and to call New Brunswick home. We’re involved, and such we want to continue making significant contributions as a responsible corporate citizen to the province and the region. Project End Zone, originally uploaded by Molson Blog.
Never to late to speak about good news in the community. Molson representative Andrew Colborne in Eastern Ontario had a great idea that resulted in $10,000 in support for the North Frontenac Community Arena. Andrew was involved with a promotion that saw involved participants taking a chance to score on a penalty shot. Molson committed to donating up to $10,000 towards project End Zone. Obviously there were some pretty good shots taken, Molson followed through with the $10,000 monetary donation to the arena. Way to go Andrew ! Thanks for the picture.
